Do participants need to be online at the same time?

No. Mindhive is asynchronous by design.

Participants contribute on their own time, which allows input to be gathered across different schedules and time zones.

There is no need to coordinate everyone to be online at once. This makes it easier to involve a broader group and capture more considered responses.
